Hey there nail enthusiasts!

Today’s post is all about the brand new Satin Collection for Fall 2013 by Zoya

For those of you who are still unfamiliar with the brand.  Here’s a little background…

Evolving from a small nail salon into a spa focusing on natural nails, skin care and alternative European herbal treatments.  Located in Cleavelend, Ohio Art of Beauty now manufactures and sells some of the best natural nail and spa products in the USA.  5Free, Vegan Friendly Nail Color

Claim to Fame:  Zoya was the first to remove toxic ingredients such as toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and DBP (dibutyl phthalate) from its formulations.  This is where the term 5FREE was generated.

Currently Zoya only ships within the United States.

So without further ado…

Here’s my “Trendy Nail” Review

Satin Collection Rating: ★★★★

Each color from the Satin collection excluding the glitter jelly polish Maria-Luisa applied smooth and evenly with each stroke.  I applied 2 coats for each color but you can almost get away with just 1.  Seal in the color  with your favorite Dry Fast Top Coat and you’re good to go!
My reasoning for not giving the entire collection 5 Stars is due to Maria-Luisa a jelly polish with gold glitter flecks… I applied 3 coats over my base coat on my bare nail and there still wasn’t enough coverage. Although, when I tried it over a solid white nail, the glitter was way more apparent & it looked a lot better.  I also tried  it over Pepper from the cashmere collection which I thought was ok…

If you’re looking for a true, solid gold,  glitter nail polish I can honestly say, you can find more out in the market place that require less coats and have more coverage.

Alternatives to Maria- Luisa/ Gold Jelly Glitter Polish
Morgan Taylor: Glitter & Gold -$7
China Glaze – I’m Not Lion $4.73

For favorite color choices within the collection… here’s how i’d rank the Satin Collection Colors
#1=Favorite – #6=Least Favorite

#1 Neve – Striking Electric Blue
#2 Giovanna – Emerald Green
#3 Claudine – Steel Gray (shown in photo below)

Mirror#4 Manson – Electric Pink
#5 Channing – Rusty Copper
#6 Maria-Luisa – Jelly Gold, Glitter Polish
Hope this review helps with your Fall polish picks!
