Versace Animal Print Inspired Nail Art

You may or may not know.. but I absolutely adore animal prints!  I think it may be one of my favorite things to paint.  My latest design was inspired by a fur coat I saw in Donatella Versace’s 2013 Fall Ready to Wear Collection.  It was love at first sight when I set eyes on this edgy, plush fur print.

Collection Vibe: Punk, Club Kid Chic

Intermixing abstract punk prints, vinyl, fur, metal spikes, stilettos and plaids.

As striking as the collection… my nails followed suit!  The palette consists of cherry red, black & white!  If you’re feeling daring and want to release your inner animal spirit then this nail design’s for you!

Option #2: For a cool glam punk look

SOLID RED:  Thumb, Middle Finger & Pinky
Zebra Stripe:  Index Finger
Spots: Ring Finger

Tip:  To prevent chipping, be sure to cap what’s known as the “free edge” of your nail with nail polish.  1 stroke over the edge of each nail.

Step 3

Using the same striping brush or nail art duo pen paint your zebra stripes over your white nails.
Tip: Paint Irregular shape “V” lines and a few random lines in between that don’t connect.
Allow your polish to dry and apply 1 coat of  your favorite Shiny Top Coat to seal in the design.
