Happy New Year Everyone!
I’ve decided to ring in 2015 with one of my new favorite shades by Urban Decay called Blackheart.
I received this gorgeous polish a few months ago from one of my best friends.  Searching for a unique shade that I didn’t already have in my collection she surprised me with Blackheart!

Eye catching as ever Urban Decay separates itself by it’s packaging with a round narrow bottle shape, shiny silver bottle cap and clearly marked Urban Decay label embossed on the side.  Each bottle cap is also adorned with a mini scull at the top.

Trying to figure out the best description for this shade, I came up with a combo of  warm deep brown, tinted with an iridescent purple hue and very fine iridescent shimmer specs.  Blackheart will leave you with a dark shimmery finish.  Opaque even after one coat!
Gorgeous for everyday wear or an evening out.  It’s a “go with everything” kind of color that I would highly recommend.  It’s a bit hard to capture the true beauty of this shade but here’s a few close ups.

I would also recommend this as a solid tip color over bare nails.  For a really cool french manicure.
The tip of the brush is narrow enough to create a thin, even line across any size nail tip.  My nails are pretty short right now and it was really easy to paint this time and looked great!

The only shade I found to be somewhat similar to Blackheart was Sable Collar by Essie and still not a perfect match.  Sable Collar is a few shades lighter than Blackheart with a redder hue.  Blackheart has more of a purple tint to it making it a bit richer and deeper color.

You can purchase your own bottle of Blackheart by Urban Decay at for $15.
