In need of some creative inspiration?  Tired of your boring solid nail color but don’t feel like trying out your artistic skills just yet?  Well don’t fret, today i’ve decided to talk about layering.

Yup… it’s so simple.  All you need is a solid color nail polish and 1 textured polish (preferably with a clear base) and VOILLA!  A whole new nail look in seconds!

In the pictures below I used 2 coats of Azature Nude.  Waited for it to set and then added 1 coat of Sparkle on Top by Essie from the “Lux Effects 2013 Collection”.  Sparkle on Top is has a clear base with mini translucent mylar flecks.  A really pretty textured polish to use for layering especially over your favorite pink.

Buyer beware… “Sparkle on Top” is pretty thick so you don’t need a lot to create a cool layered lacquer look .  In this case.. less is more.

Links to the nail polish mentioned in this post can be found at the bottom of the page.

Sparkle on Top ranges between $2 to $8 and can be purchased almost anywhere!  Neiman Marcus, Macys, Amazon.com, CVS… pretty much most retail stores carry Essie.

The entire collection of Azature Nail Lacquers including Azature Nude can be purchased online at hsn.com as well as ronrobinson.com
