Giambattista Valli Thumb

Today’s manicure muse for Tutorial Thursday is inspired by Giambattista Valli Resort 2015 Collection.  Loving the coral pattern I decided to use one of the new colors released by Azature for Summer 2015 called Azature Coral.

Here’s what you’ll need to create these trendy fashion inspired nails.

Coral Nail polish:  Azature Coral
White Nail Polish: Azature Faint White — available on hsn, &
Matte Nail Polish:  Matte About You – Essie  — available at Ulta Beauty, Amazon &
Nail Art Striping Brush

Step 1:  Start off with solid white nails.  I used Azature Faint White.

Step-1 Giambattista Valli

Step 2:  Using your nail art brush & coral nail polish, paint a few thick squiggle uneven curved lines allover your nails.  Tip:Painting with short horizontal brush strokes will create that flame stitch effect.

Step-2 Giambattista Valli
Step 3:  Add your lighter shade of coral — Using a palette (ie. an old cd, paper plate or some plastic wrap) mix a little bit of white to your coral color to make a lighter shade of coral.
Paint your lighter shade of coral over your darker shade in random spots… the messier the better.

Step-3 Giambattista Valli

Step 4:  Finish up your design by adding a few more white flame stitch squiggles over some of the coral… Precision is not important… do whatever you think looks great!

Top it off with your favorite matte top coat for a shine free finish.

Step-4 Giambattista Valli
