Beauty, Fashion, Fitness & Nails

For all you Polish Us PINK Breast Cancer Awareness Supporters… Here’s another nail art tutorial just for you!

Keeping it simple… this nail look was done in 4 easy steps!

Follow these simple steps to get your own Trendy Pink Nails!

Links to all of the products mentioned in this post can be found at the bottom of the page.

Step 1: Paint your nails solid pink.  I used “Sweet Heart” by OPI.  It’s an opaque soft nude pink that blend fabulously.  I’m loving this shade!  With or without nail art… Sweet Heart by OPI is a must have for all you neutral pink lovers!

Step 2:

Using your striping brush paint a vertical line down the center of each nail using a sheer cream nail polish.  I used “Angel Food” by Essie.

Step 3:

Using your dotting tool create your hearts along each side of your center stripe.  To create your Heart Shape is very simple.  All you need to do is get enough polish onto the tip of your dotting tool and make a “V” shape on your nail.  I used a deep Merlot for this called “Material Girl” by Essie.

Step 4:

Lastly I used a watercolor technique to paint my bow.

To create this effect, first you need to paint one layer of Seche Vite or dry fast over your solid pink nail.  This clear coat will protect your pink base from smearing.  Then I used my striping brush and lightly painted my bow shape using my Merlot polish.  (try not to paint your bow too thick.  The key is to keep a thin layer of polish, so the acetone will spread through)  I then immediately dipped my striping brush into some acetone and daubed the acetone onto bow spreading out the polish.  Gently dipping the acetone through the pink polish, which created this cool effect.

And there you have it!  Simple Pink Nail Art Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month! <3  Hope you enjoyed!
