Summer Nail Art: Lime Dotticure

Beauty, Fashion, Fitness & Nails

Summer has arrived & what better time to try out some fun new manicures!

Playing around with dots, I used 2 brand new colors from Essie & Zoya’s Summer 2015 collections
to create this cute lime dotticure.
Easily done with gel polish or natural nail polish check out this super easy DIY 2 step process!

Here’s what you’ll need to recreate this look.

The Tools

  1. Clear Base Coat
  2. Cream green nail polish- Jace by Zoya
  3. Cream light lime green nail polish- Chilato by Essie
  4. Generic dotting tool or a toothpick
  5. Your Favorite Dry Fast Top Coat
I’ve been switching between CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat  & Good To Go by Essie

All you’ll need to do is start off with applying a clear base coat to each of your nails.
Once your base coat is dry apply 2 coats of Jace by Zoya over your nails.

Lastly, pour a little bit of light lime green nail polish (Chilato by Essie) onto a piece of plastic or saran wrap. (i’ve been using the lids of old used containers for my palette)

Dip your dotting tool into the light lime green and apply dots to follow your cuticle line

Finish by sealing in your dotticure with your favorite top coat & voilla!

You can purchase the new Zoya Summer Collection at Ulta Beauty Stores for $9/bottle or online at

Essie products are a little more wide spread.  Chilato can be found at Target, CVS, Nordstrom, Kohls, Amazon and of course for $8.50/bottle
