Happy Holidays

Hey There Nail Enthusiasts!
Christmas and New Years are quickly approaching!  Here’s a little simple nail art design that’s definitely NOVICE APPROVED!

Links to items mentioned in this post can be found at the bottom of the page.

In under 10 minutes you can get these trendy holiday sparkle tips!  I added a matte design which you can keep or omit… it’s up to you! Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Solid Navy Nail Polish – Sailor by Zoya
  2. Gold Glitter Polish – Hors D’ oeuvres by Essie
  3. Matte Polish – Matte About You by Essie (Optional)
  4. Striping Brush (Optional)

Step 1:  Start off with 1 coat of solid navy nails.

Step 2:  Using your glitter nail polish, wipe off any excess nail polish on a paper towel.  Starting from the base of the nail closest to your cuticle gently glide your glitter polish 1/2 way up your nail towards your tips.  By wiping off the excess polish this will create a glitter fade effect on your nails.

Step 3: Seal in your design with 1 coat of your favorite dry fast top coat.

The next step is optional.

Step 3: (Optional)  Using a striping brush, paint 2 upside down “V” shapes (or arrow heads) over the solid part of your nails at the tips & you’re good to go!
