Nail Art inspired by Givenchy

Fall/Winter 2013 Collection

Inspired by an online article I saw in Harpars Bazaar titled BOLD STEPS

Featured the best Black, White, Red Accessories for Fall 2013

I was completely taken by this gorgeous squiggle striped snake skin clutch by Givenchy!  A picture does say a thousand words!  Between the striking print, gorgeous, St. Tropez, stunningly tanned legs & Grecian like setting I knew immediately that this would have to be my next Fashion Nail Art Look!

At first look the clutch has the appearance of a reddish/orange tone.  Which is why I chose the color for the center stripe.  As i further investigated I discovered that the clutch is actually deep orange and the matching shoes follow suit.
Take a look below at my trendy nails and follow the simple steps to get this look yourself!

Painting trendy nails doesn’t have to be difficult.  This nail design was quick and simple.. no need for special tools.  I used 3 colors- Black Nail Art Duo Pen, White & Red.

Get these Trendy Nails

Step 1
Paint your nails 1 coat all over white.  I used Alpine Snow by OPI
(It’s okay if there’s some streaks because they’ll be mostly covered with red and black leaving the sides white)

Step1

Step 2
Paint a stripe of red or orange down the center of each nail  I used  Silken Cord by Essie

Step2

Step 3
Using your Black Nail Art Duo Pen.  Use the striping brush and paint a thin stripe on both sides of the red stripes.

Step 4
Now fill in your squiggle lines with the Pen side of the Nail Art Duo Pen.
To start the flow of the polish:  Gently squeeze the bottle so to get some polish to peek through the pen tip.   Dab the excess on a paper towel.. and start your squiggles.

Squiggles:  Using the black line as your guide.. gently paint little dots, varying in size along the line with your nail art pen.
Don’t press too hard on your nail with the pen.. just lightly squeeze out the polish and dab it onto your nail.

(It’s okay if the black polish seems a little thick on your nail.  Once you apply your top coat it will flatten out.)

Step3

Step 5
Wait for your black polish to set and apply your favorite Dry Fast Top Coat to set your design.
Voilla!! Black, Red & White Racer Stripe Nails!
