Ginger + Liz Fall Nail Shades

The non-toxic, vegan friendly brand Ginger + Liz recently released 4 new shades for fall.

A little bit about the brand:  All Ginger + Liz Colour Collection nail lacquers and nail treatments are vegan friendly, non-toxic, 5 Free & Made In The USA.  They’re all fast drying and highly pigmented, but won’t stain your nails.

5 Free means no toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor or DBP.

Ginger + Liz nail lacquers can be purchased at $12/ bottle.

Here’s a closer look at the 4 new nail shades and my thoughts about each.

First we have Such A Lady by Ginger + Liz

Such A Lady: Metallic antique rose gold shade with crushed glitter & a holo undertone

Unlike many glitter polishes that take multiple coats to get full coverage Such A Lady only took 2.  You can even get away with 1 coat if you’re in a hurry!  It’s a full coverage glitter polish which casts a beautiful shade of rose gold.  I absolutely love this shade.  Perfect for the holidays or that girls night out!

Best I’ve Ever Had: Creamy opaque fawn colored shade that is classic, clean and tasteful.

Best I’ve Ever Had is a creamy, full coverage neutral.  It has casts more of a warm peachy tone. It pairs nicely with Such A Lady.  Both colors compliment each other well.   I prefer it better when paired with another shade rather than used alone.Best_Ive_Ever_Had

It definitely looks great with Such A Lady.  Shown below.

Work The Room:  Deep eggplant gray shade with a creamy opaque finish that is dark but not sinister.

My favorite cream shade of the collection is Work The Room.  I absolutely love the deep eggplant shade.  A perfect color for fall with no frills!  LOVE IT!  Shown with 2 coats below.

PS… There’s been a name correction… The Name for Working The Room is Work The Room.

Unbothered:  Bright purple sapphire shade with magenta undertones and creamy opaque finish.

Unbothered is a bright neon.  So far this is the first neon I’ve seen introduced this fall in nail lacquers.  Not really my favorite color, just ’cause i don’t wear brights in the fall/winter time but its definitely an eye-catcher for sure!  2 coats for full coverage.

When i review products and give suggestions I try to pick my favorites based on a few different features:

  • it’s a color i haven’t seen before
  • applies amazingly
  • wears well & doesn’t chip fast
  • or all of the above

Out of the 4 new nail shades introduced for fall by Ginger + Liz my top 2 favorites are Work The Room & Such A Lady.
These two shades posses all of the qualities i listed above.  I was really happy with each and wouldn’t hesitate to suggest either shade.
