Essie Silk Watercolor-Kit Nail Art

Hey there nail enthusiasts!
Essie released 2 amazing watercolor nail kits this march & my thoughts are… YOU MUST PICK ONE UP!

There’s two watercolor kits to choose from.  A sunshine palette called “Swept Away”  containing 3 sheer lacquers: yellow, pink & violet.  The second palette called “Abstract Floral” which contains a deeper richer palette: red, blue and teal.  Each palette also comes with an opaque white nail lacquer used for your base color.

The draw to these watercolor kits is that you can easily create your very own nail art looks by simply blending and building on the colors .  Using the sheerness of each color you can create an infinite amount of color combinations.  It truly is an amazing concept.
These sheer shades are great for creating plaids too!

Here’s a closer look at the two collections.

Essie Watercolor Palette 2 – ” Abstract Floral”

I decided to try out my new “Abstract Floral” palette with some nail art stamping!

  • I began with using 1 coat of White Page on each of my nails.
  • Next I painted a stripe of each color, ranging in tone and length… you can go as sheer or as deep as you want by overlaying the colors.
  • I then stamped a teal bow using “Pen & Inky”
  • To accentuate the bow i repeated my stamping but used a black nail polish.
  • Then to soften each of the bows i overlaid each with the Azature Pearl Diamond
  • Lastly I sealed in my nails using “Good To Go” a shiny dry fast top coat by essie

Overlaying my stamp pattern with multiple colors really accentuated the watercolor design and made my nail art look fantastic!
I would highly recommend picking up both or at least one of the two watercolor kits this season.

Each kit retails for $17.50 and are available at, ulta beauty stores, amazon, kohls and beauty destinations nationwide!
