Taking inspiration from the vertical, or “falling” stripes throughout Monse’s FW 2017 collection, essie Global Lead Educator, Rita Remark created a half-striped nail on the ring finger to accompany the luxe colors in the clothing collection without adding more weight to the look. A chrome pinky was then added to leave a “lasting impression,” said Rita.

ESSIE_FW_Feb17_Monse_135essie pro tip: If you struggle with painting a perfect line (and lack a striping brush at home) Rita suggests using painter’s tape on top of a fully dried nail. Paint one coat of no place like chrome, let dry, then place the tape. Polish licorice on the other half and peel the tape away!
