Essie Winter 2016

Essie Winter 2016

Hey there nail enthusiasts!
Essie recently launched their new Winter 2016 collection.  Here’s a lil’ background on the collection and up close pics of each shade!

Inspired by nights out in the land of mod and epicenter of chic: London in the ’60’s Essie’s Winter 2016 collection is comprised of multifaceted frosts, rich cremes and dazzling shimmers.

Here’s a closer look at the line up.

Essie Winter 2016

ready to boa- glistening bronzed mahogany retail: $9.00
I’m a big fan of reds & browns and Ready to Boa is a perfect blend of both with a hint of shimmer.  In the photo below i paired it with “Take Me To Thread” from essie’s gel couture collection.

party on a platform – london garnet red retail: $9.00

Another one of my favorites part on a platform is a warm winter red.  No problems as far as streaking.  It’s also great to pair with a glittery gold at the base or on the tips for the holidays.

oh behave! – minx peach frost- retail $9.00

“Oh behave” is a frosty peach, but a little pale for my taste.  Not my favorite, but if you have a darker complexion or a creamy pale complexion this shade might work for you.

satin sistersleek ebony peacock blueretail $9.00

A favorite of mine, satin sister can be worn with only 1 coat as shown below!  It’s super shiny and applies really evenly and smoothly.  I’m not even wearing a top coat in the photo below!  A must try for the winter season!

go with the flowy cloud like dove grayretail $9.00

Go with the flowy a hybrid of white and gray, it’s a nice alternative for a soft almost white for the winter.  Shown with 2 coats below and no top coat.

Go With The Flowy - Essie W16

I would definitely recommend trying out the Essie 2016 Winter Collection.  My favorites are Ready to Boa, Satin Sister, Getting Groovy and Party on a Platform.
