Cozy Stripes Featuring Essie Winter 2015

Beauty, Fashion, Fitness & Nails

Hey there nail enthusiasts!
It feels like it’s been a while since i’ve posted a How-To nail art tutorial, so here’s an easy stripe design featuring colors from Essie’s recently released Winter 2015 collection.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Cream Pastel Pink:  Peak Show – Essie (winter 2015)
Cream Pastel Blue:  Virgin Snow – Essie (winter 2015)
Platinum Silver:  Apres-Chic – Essie (winter 2015)

Striping Brush

All of the Essie products used in this tutorial are available for $8.50 each at, Ulta Beauty, Macys, Nordstrom, CVS, Target, and Fine Salons & beauty destinations nationwide.

Step 1: After applying a clear base coat to your nails.  Apply 1-2 coats of Peak Show over all your nails

Step1-Essie Winter 2015 Stripes
Step 2:  Using Virgin Snow by Essie paint half of each nail periwinkle blue.  It only took me 1-2 swipes per nail to cover each, but it all depends on the length of your nails.

Step2 -Essie Winter 2015 Stripes

Step 3: Using a thin striping brush, drag a single line down the center of each nail being sure to cover the divide of both colors using Apres-Chic a platinum silver.

Lastly seal in your cozy winter warm stripes with your favorite dry fast top coat.  I used Good To Go by Essie for a fabulous streak free shine!

Step3 -Essie Winter 2015 Stripes

The best part of this manicure is it actually lasted me through my latest powerlifting competition!  And an added bonus… it matched my t-shirt I wore that day too! 🙂
