Fashion Meets Nails at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival

Beauty, Fashion, Fitness & Nails

The 66th annual Cannes Film Festival took place in Cannes, France, from May 15 to 26th.

One of my favorite dresses that graced the red carpet was worn by Marion Cotillard wearing Dior, to the ‘Blood Ties’ premiere during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

Here’s my interpretation of this look.

It’s such a simple design to create.

Art Club Nail Art Duo Pen & Striper gives you the option of using either the pen or the striping brush.  This is the perfect tool for the novice – experienced nail artist!

I used the striping brush and created my black lines first, followed by the yellow and then the white & blue.  Fill in each section and top it off with your favorite dry fast top coat.

For the solid nails I used Marshmallow by Essie.  I would have preferred Waltz but I ran out and only had Marshmallow.  The only difficult part about using Marshmallow is it has a tendency to streak.  I used 3 coats in order to achieve this look on my solid white nails.

Creating nail art is always fun, and following a pattern created by an amazing designer is even better!
Hope you enjoy my interpretation.
