I feel that the most important part of having a great looking nail is starting with a clean, fresh canvas.
What I mean by that is: Prepping your nail before applying any polish.
Here’s a few of my arsenals I use religiously to keep my nails from flaking, splitting and drying out.
This might seem like a lot of work just to do your nails… but it’s worth it. Sometimes i leave out moisturizing but since I bought the CND – Solar Oil I use it every time i change my nail polish.
My nails used to be brittle and flaky especially during the winter & since I’ve been using the oil they’ve been healthy, stronger & no flakes, chips or peeling.

Scrub Nail Brush:
Removes the oils on my nails before applying any lacquer.
Use after filing and after applying the oil to the cuticle and nail.
Always remember to apply a base coat! It protects your nails from turning yellow and staining from the polishes.
Seche Clear – Base Coat
Really thin consistency. I like it as an alternative to the Nail Tek b/c it’s a light weight base coat.

Nail Tek II – Repairs split or damaged nails – Base Coat
I use either the Seche Clear or the Nail Tek II as my base.
The Nail Tek II has a much thicker consistency.
I used to use Nailtiques® all the time and I found that it wasn’t really helping much so I switched over to
Nail Tek and it’s less expensive and works.
Great tips!!
