Zoya Satin Collection

Zoya Naturel Satins Collection 2015

Brand new for 2015!   6 semi-matte satin nail polish shades.. No Top Coat required!

When Zoya announced the release of these I was definitely excited to give them a try.
I have say… a really cool concept for sure, but unfortunately not the best choice for those of you looking for a quick drying nail polish.

The whole purpose of these polishes is to leave your nails with a semi-matte satin finish… sort of a hybrid between a semi gloss and matte so adding a top coat would ruin the whole thing.
With that being said… after applying 1 coat… the dry time is about 10 minutes… For me that just took too darn long.
Another option is spraying a dry fast nail spray over your nails to speed up the drying process which was a plus!

POSITIVES

  • Full coverage after the first coat
  • Love the finish & all of the colors
  • Lasts similar to traditional Zoya nail polishes 5-7 days

NEGATIVES

  • Nail finish easily scuffed
  • If you apply a second coat, the drying time increases to about 20-30 minutes to insure that your nails are 100% dry!
  • Overall takes too long too dry

Now… with all that being said…  I don’t want to totally discount this collection entirely!  Zoya announced that they are coming out with a clear Satin Top Coat!
So, once that’s released I would say this collection will be well worth purchasing.  If you don’t want to wait… then pick one of your favorite shades and try it out.
All and all a really cool concept and I’m looking forward to seeing more of this in the future.

My favorite colors would have to be starting off with Leah, Ana and Brittany, Rowan, Sage and Tove.

Zoya Satin Collection can be purchased at your local Ulta Beauty store for $9 /bottle or online at www.zoya.com
