ZOYA-VS-OPI

Pussy Galore – Liquid Sand Series by OPI
Smooth is an understatement …. My first coat took to the nail like butter!
This polish applies so evenly it’s virtually impossible for it to look bad.  After the second coat this pastel pink left a sparkle underneath the sand texture that is just FAB-U-LOUS!!!
I’ve been waiting for a pastel textured polish to hit the scene and OPI nailed it!

Solitaire – Liquid Sand Series by OPI
Just like Pussy Galore, Solitaire went on smooth and evenly.  The only difference between the two is that Solitaire is bit more translucent and  I actually needed 3 coats of polish to achieve the color depth I was looking for.  Solitaire casts a beautiful snow-white hue with hints of sparkle throughout.  Indeed a definite must have especially for Winter!
This polish would look great with a holly berry textured red tip.  Perfect for the holiday season!!

Overall Rating: ★★★★
Dry Time:  1-2 minutes FAST – no top coat needed.
Love the textured finish, just wish Solitaire didn’t need 3 coats.
NOT YET IN STORES:  Available- Early May

Miranda & SteviePixie Dust Summer 2013 Collection by Zoya
Every single color from the Pixie Dust Summer Collection glides on smooth and opaque after the first coat.
I’m grouping both shades together because I had the exact same results from both.  Both colors are apply evenly and are true to the shade in the bottle.  After each layer of polish you’re left with a gorgeous sparkle on top of the textured polish, leaving your nails looking like Sugared Gum Drops!

Overall Rating: ★★★★★
Dry Time:  1-2 minutes FAST – no top coat needed.
Love the depth of color after 2 coats and the sugar texture finish.
Available Now at Zoya.com – Sugg. Retail Price: $9

CONGRATULATIONS to Zoya for another amazing line of Textured Polishes!

A Few After Thoughts…
Zoya Pixie Dust – Sparkle texture appears over the lacquer color – Lacquer appears more dimensional — sugar top
Liquid Sand –  Sparkle lays under the textured finish – Lacquer appears flatter — cool stone like quality
PixieDust-BondGirlsBoth colors definitely get my LACQUERLICIOUS stamp of approval.  Everyone must have at least one shade from each collection in their polish wardrobe!

Side Note:  Liquid Sand Bond Girls Collection – I also tested out Vesper and Honey Ryder.  Honey Ryder went on just like the Pussy Galore, vibrant & perfect consistency.  Unfortunately I didn’t have the same luck with Vesper. Vesper applied a bit too thin for my taste. The bottle appears to be brown and then paints on in a very deep purple.  I was pleasantly surprised by the purple but by the 2nd coat the purple was turning black.  Not exactly what I was hoping for.

Each photo (excluding the 2 crowned polishes.. which I also created using Photoshop CS4) was taken with my cell phone Samsung Galaxy III.  I like taking my pictures in natural light.  That way I get the best representation of color.

I hope you enjoyed this post.  Please weigh in & Vote for your favorite Textured Polish!
