Hey there nail and beauty enthusiasts!
A few weeks ago i was playing around with my new Essie Gel Couture Holiday 2017 Collection and wanted to share with you some stamping i did using shades from the collection.
A few things i love about the gel couture line is that the brush is nice and thick. A lot thicker than the regular essie polish.
I also love the top coat. The shine it leaves is unbelievable.
Some of the polishes last a little longer than others. As far as it being considered a “longer lasting polish”… i’m still on the fence. I’ve had great results with the line, but some shades last longer than others. I guess it all depends on how rough you are with your hands. For me, i’m constantly lifting things, so a manicure lasting 5 days is a plus!
I would have to say, that anytime i layer polishes with stamping or some sort of nail art, those tend to last the longest especially when i use the line of Essie Gel Couture Polishes.
If you’re at a salon and you have the choice i’d definitely recommend trying a shade. If not and you’re looking to do your own manicure give it a shot and try a shade. The line is extremely extensive and if you scroll through my posts (or search gel couture in the search bar) you can see the different shades that i’ve tried.
The nail stamping was pretty simple with this look.
Here’s what i used:
- 1 coat of Amethyst Noir
- Nail Stamping Plate BP-L 008 (Bornprettystore.com) USE 10% OFF CODE BAZQ10
- Applied Gold Gilding to my stamping plate and applied the pattern to my nails using the clear jelly stamper.
- Followed it with one coat of Gel Couture Platinum Top Coat.
Here’s a look at Amethyst Noir very pigmented deep amethyst.
