Top Products Guide - The Trendy Nail

Hey there Nail Enthusiasts!

Many women have been asking me “How do I get my nails Long & Strong?”  Although I’m not a certified trained nail expert, I can share a few products and tips that have worked great for me and for others I’ve worked on.

Here are a list of my GO-2 Nail Products for developing Long & Strong Natural Nails… Products I just can’t live without and neither should you!

For Dry & Cracked Cuticles & Skin

  1. Dior Crème Abricot Fortifying Cream For Nails
Meant to moisturize the cuticles this gooey gel based product is a MUST HAVE in your beauty stash.  I was skeptical at first but after 2 days of use I noticed that my cuticles were plump and no longer suffering from those winter dry skin cracks.  If there’s anything that you would splurge on please buy Dior’s Apricot Fortifying Nail Cream!  A little goes a long way… you only need a little bit on your nails.  In addition to your nails, you can even use it on cracked skin.  I’ve even heard of people applying it to their lips.
Pros:  Immediately cures dry, cracked skin & cuticles
Cons:  Very sticky and gooey.  Don’t plan on putting on gloves right afterward.  You’ll have to wait at least 10 minutes for it to soak in.
    Price Tag:  $24.50
    Stores:
Beauty Dept: Dior Counter –  Macy’s, Nordstrom, Sephora

Promoting Nail Growth & Strengthening

  1. Garlic Oil Pearls
I can’t say enough about Garlic Oil Pearls.  Besides strengthening they also promote nail growth!  This stuff is another miracle worker I could never do without!  It’s also great to use after removing gel polish.  Everyone at some point has had the problem of a torn or thin nails after a bad gel polish removal.  Well, pick up some garlic pearls and use them for a week or two and your nails will begin repairing themselves quicker than you would expect! They make odorless Garlic Oil Pearls but the only ones i’ve had success with is the smelly kind!  I puncture a small whole into 1 and squeeze the oil all over my nails.  Generally I use one per hand at night, at least 3 – 4 times a week.  The smell eventually dissipates.. but if you can’t handle it … apply  scented moisturizer over your hands afterwards.  Whatever you do… Don’t wash your hands.  Otherwise you’ll wash away all of the oil and be back where you started.
PS.. Don’t mix up garlic oil pearls and garlic gel pearls.  Make sure you buy the GARLIC OIL PEARLS!  The other stuff just doesn’t work the same.

    Pros:
    Strengthens Nails, Promotes Nail Growth
    Cons:  Bad Odor
    Price Tag:  $8.80
Stores:  Vitamin Shoppe, Any Health Food Store

Curing Dry & Cracked Skin & Lips

  1. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream
The cold months are approaching which tends to lead to dry skin & chapped lips.  One of my favorite’s, I use in place of chapstick & blistex is Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream.  I’m not sure why they call it a cream when it looks more like an orange tinted gel.  but regardless of the name this stuff works wonders!  You can use it pretty much anywhere… lips, cuticles, dry spots on your hands.. wouldn’t recommend putting it on a large area because it’s so sticky… but whatever you choose, use this at night and by morning your lips will be well hydrated!
Pros: Restores Dry, Cracked Skin & Smoothes Cuticles
    Cons: Slightly unpleasant smell
    Price Tag: $19.50
Stores:  Elizabeth Arden Stores, Macy’s, Ulta

As winter approaches i would highly recommend each of these products for your daily beauty regimen!
Now’s the time to get started with strong & healthy natural nails!
