TUTORIAL THURSDAY: AKRIS FALL 2014 INSPIRED NAIL ART
Nail Art inspired by Akris Fall 2014 Collection
It feels like it’s been forever since i’ve created some fashion inspired nails! So, today’s look is inspired by this cozy fur dress from Akris Fall/Winter 2014 Collection!
I’ve been feeling like wearing simple nails lately I thought this would be a great look to recreate. A simple and easy design that anyone can do!
Here’s what you’ll need to create these fashion inspired Trendy Nails!
The Tools
An off white nail polish – For this i chose 2 colors.
- She Said Yes by Essie (Wedding 2014 Collection) – base
- Marshmallow by Essie -top
& a black nail polish. I used Licorice by Essie.
Lets get started!
Step 1: After applying your clear base coat apply 1 coat of She Said Yes by Essie over each nail. Wait for that to dry and apply a 2nd coat of Marshmallow by Essie over each nail for a creamy off white base color.
Step 2: Paint half of your nail black. I liked using Licorice by Essie because the brush is thin enough to cover half my nail with a nice straight even line in 2 strokes.
Step 3: Using a striping brush and the same black nail polish, paint a small horizontal line across the white area 3/4 of the way down your nail.
Lastly top it all off with your favorite dry fast top coat Seche Vite, Good To Go by Essie or a 7 day clear top coat by CND Vinylux!
An easy no-fuss nail design that you can create on all 10 fingers or just your accent nail leaving the rest 1/2 black and 1/2 white.
Hope you enjoyed the tutorial!
